【About Kintsugi】Broken objects should not be hidden but proudly displayed Kintsugi, also known as ‘Golden repair ', is made up of two words: kin is gold and tsugi is fixed or bound. Originating in Japan in the 15th century, this technique is a repair process in which damaged dishes such as plates, cups, and teapots are again coated with natural lacquer and then covered with gold dust. "Repair" is Kintsugi’s most cited mastery concept. The philosophy of Kintsugi views the damage and repairs as part of the object’s history and not as a cover. Some people reclaim lost memories, repair broken relationships, and even calm their damaged souls in the process of restoring an object invisibly.
